Recent hot weather and fires are expected to make yields of wheat and milk lower, and that means consumer prices will increase not only on these products, but others that contain these as ingredients. Global prices have reacted to adverse weather conditions, and credit constraints have affected U.S. farmers.
If last month’s rally on wheat continues through August, consumer will see a minimum of a 5%-10% increase in wheat product prices.
