They had an interview on "Friends of Fox" with one of the small business owners where he expressed the intent of "having some fun" with the billboard, pointing out in the interview, (which became a little uncomfortable for the interviewer) that "both Bush and Obama had and have very difficult problems to work through", and that "we need to lighten up, and not point fingers of blame". This showed, to me, the desire from the "Heartland" to get beyond some of the partisan bickering that dominates the discourse. The billboard is, after all, Very ambiguous: Some might "Miss me yet?" as in "We want him back", but others might "Miss me yet?" as in, "Yeah, we miss him like a Root Canal, that we're still trying to recover from."
