‘Miss Me Yet?’ Bush Billboard Partially Solved

by admin on February 9, 2010 · 44 comments

in From The Web, Small Businesses

Update on the great billboard mystery on Minnesota’s I-35.

Mary Teske, the general manager of Schubert & Hoey Outdoor Advertising reports, “The Bush Miss Me Yet? billboard was paid for by a group of small business owners who feel like Washington is against them. They wish to remain anonymous. They thought it was a fun way of getting out their message.”

Hundreds of people have claimed credit for the billboard, but this billboard is a local affair.

We miss Reagan and Bush’s ignorance and their unique ability to trample on the Constitution and flush the country down the drain?

Yeah, ok

Small business owners (largest source of jobs in America) are sitting because this White House has declared war on them with higher taxes and government intervention in the economy. They have to wait for an announcement, see policy implemented and watch out for the pervasive unintended consequences that policy and lawmakers seem to always forget.

May I answer that question? Yes, I miss you. I REALLY miss you. I’ve been missing you since Nov. 5, 2008. I’ve been heartbroken since Jan. 20, 2009. I miss you and Laura and even your daughters, Barbara and Jenna, although we didn’t get to know them so well. They weren’t shoved into our faces day and night, season after season, unlike the Obama girls.

Hmm, since your the one that put us in this economic mess (ala Hank ‘Goldman’ Paulson) – I BEG TO DIFFER -TRY THE COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT ACT – ALA CARTER AND THE STONEWALLING OF ANY ATTEMPTS AT REGULATION (YUP, YOU GOT THAT RIGHT, REGULATION) BY BUSH TO CONGRESS WHEN BARNEY FRANK AND OTHER SENIOR CONGRESSCRITTERS (INCLUDING OTHER REPUBLICANS) SHUT HIM DOWN – LOOK IT UP. lied about war – WHAT? NO LIES ABOUT WAR, MORE ACCURATELY LIES ABOUT WMD’S (WHICH APPARENTLY ARE PROVING NOT TO BE LIES BUT RATHER TRUTHS BASED ON THE LATEST REPORTS NOT TO MENTION FINDINGS THE MEDIA DID ONE HELL OF A JOB HIDING). BY THE WAY, CAN YOU DEFINE WHAT A WMD IS??? AS FOR WAR, WE WENT IN, LIBERATED A COUNTRY AND GOT RID OF A MADMAN WHO WANTED TO KILL ALL OF US – I SAY, “MISSION ACCOMPLISHED”., Tortured people – NOT ONLY NOT OPEN TO INTERPRETATION, BUT YOU TRYING TO TAKE SOME MORAL HIGH GROUND WITH THIS NONSENSE IS BEYOND HILARIOUS. WHAT, WE DIDN’T MIRANDIZE THESE MURDEROUS THUGS SO WE ARE THE BAD GUYS – FORGIVE ME IF DUE PROCESS INCLUDES LETTING KNOWN TERRORISTS BACK IN COUNTRY WHERE THEY EXPERIENCE A RECITIVISM RATE WELL IN EXCESS OF 90%. OR DID THE MSM HIDE THAT ONE FROM YOU AS WELL? violated various civil rights – ANOTHER POINTLESS, BASELESS LIBERAL TALKING POINTS. HOLY CRAP, DO YOU HAVE THE LIBERAL MEMOS FROM 2002 FOR CHRIST’S SAKE?!?! YOUR PRECIOUS CIVIL RIGHTS WERE NOT BEING INFRINGED UPON. YET THEY ARE NOW WITH OBAMBI AND YET YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW IT. called the Constitution “just a godamn piece of paper” – I THINK YOU HAVE THE WRONG PARTY – THAT WAS PROBABLY RAHM EMANUEL OR ROBERT GIBBS. OF COURSE I AM CERTAIN THIS IS ANOTHER PIECE OF LIBERAL CLAPTRAP THAT THE MINDLESS MASSES SUCH AS YOURSELF WILL RELY ON UNTIL YOUR DEATH., committed treason against a covert CIA agent (Plame) – YET AGAIN, THAT WOULD BE ANOTHER LIBERAL IN RICHARD ARMITAGE WHO OUTED HER AND EVEN ADMITTEED IT. YUP, A REPUBLICAN TOOK THE FALL FOR SOME LIBERAL ASSHAT THAT DID NOT KNOW WHEN TO SHUT THE HELL UP. COINCIDENTALLY, THIS INCIDENT THAT ERRONEOUSLY NAILED SCOOTER LIBBY IS WHY US “RIGHT THINKING” PEOPLE DO NOT TRUST THE MSM. and colluded (allowed intelligence failures) during 911 – OK, YOU TOTALLY LOST ME ON THIS ONE. IF ANYBODY IS DELUDING THEMSELVES INTOA FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY OR IS USING THE CONSTITUTION OR THE GWOT FOR POLITICAL ADVANTAGE, IT IS THE LIBS. LOOK WHO IS IN POWER NOW. THEY KNOW IF THEY STOOD WITH BUSH THAT WHILE THEY MIGHT HAVE THE WHITE HOUSE (WHICH THEY WOULDN’T) THEY WOULD NOT HAVE EITHER HOUSE OF CONGRESS. Hell no, I dont miss your Fascistic Plutocracy AND YOUR FALSE PREMISE WILL BITE YOU IN THE ASS. I AM SURE YOU ARE ALL ABOUT “FAIRNESS” BUT THE DEFINITION YOU AND I SHARE ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.

Note: Sorry about the parethetic explanation, I know how ignorant Repukelicans are. AHHH, THE “SLAP IN THE” INSULT. HOW I LOVE IT!!! AND YES, IT IS PARENTHETIC – NOT PARETHETIC. BUT I WILL LET THAT GO THIS TIME.

HAVE FUN LIBERAL LOSER AS THIS COUNTRY GOES DOWN THE $HI**ER WITH YOUR IDIOT BOY KING IN CHARGE.

I think Obama is near as bad as Bush, so you know. Be it Left or Right all are globalist ‘New World Order’ types (not my phrase but pappy Bush’s, Sept. 11, 1991)

I think you need to lay of the Limbaugh, Hannity, and Faux News there, kdiz. Ironically, were all in this together:) Despite our differences.

Stop the presses and shut off the RSS feeds: the bashiest of the Bush-bashers is starting to appreciate the Exile of Crawford.

I haven’t forgiven George W. Bush for stealing two elections, starting two wars, bankrupting the treasury and doing his damnedest to turn the U.S. into a fascist state. He deserves one of hell’s hottest picnic spots for refusing to lift a finger to bring the 9/11 murderers to justice. Bush was stupid. He was vicious. He should be in prison.

He was the worst president the U.S. had ever had. Until this one.

More than you will ever know or perhaps will know in less than four years.

To our international friends, let me set the record straight. Despite the bashing, accusations and outright lies about President Bush there are a few things you should all know.

If not for Bush, Saddam would still be tyrannizing Iraq. 50 million Iraqis would not be free to be self-determining. The Taliban would still be running Afghanistan. Many additional terrorist attacks would have succeeded not only in North America but throughout the world. Domestically, nearly 80% of working Americans own their own homes and 95% are not arrears on their mortgage payments. The average real income in America increased nearly 33% in the last 8 years. The current recession is a worldwide phenomenon not the fault of President Bush.

Proof is in the fact that Obama will not pull troops out of Iraq quicker than would have come out per Bush’s schedule, GITMO will not close (to skirt this issue prepare of Obama to announce it will close in the next 5 years to avoid the problem entirely). Obama has left Bush’s entire Defense Department intact. He will not end the provisions of the Patriot Act that all the Liberals have been railing about for the last 7 years, either.

Economically, note the current inflation rate in America then check back in two years after Obama spends all that money we do not have. He can print all the dollars he wants, that does not make them valuable.

I am an old timer. I had to try to scratch out a living under Jimmy Carter. Now you can all see for yourself. So, yes, I miss Bush already.

I do not disagree with all of your points of argument, OP but most:

1. True

2. When you (Dubya) are a Brother of ‘Skull and Bones’ (As in Teutonic Knights/Modern day Intelligence Apparatus) and your Grandpappy (Prescott Bush/Brown Bros. Harriman) finances an Occult War Machine (NAZI’s/National Socialists), exactly how does that place you on the top of the moral heap. How does this allow you to identify evil?

3. Propaganda (Its about resources/aka OIL)

4. Have you ever heard of the SPP (Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America)? Hardly defending Sovereignty! Unless you consider our Continent (Mexico/U.S./Canada) Sovereign? Why do you think you read three languages in the directions to your coffee maker?

This is just a chunk of the ‘New World Order’ (again, not my phrase, but pappy G.H.W. Bush’s phrase, uttered 9/11/91)

5. I dont know if you know your History, but that ‘Special Relationship’ wasn’t so ‘Special’, when our beloved Country was founded not so long ago in the span of time. I suspect that:

* Samuel Adams
* Josiah Bartlett
* Carter Braxton
* Charles Carroll
* Samuel Chase
* Abraham Clark
* George Clymer
* William Ellery
* William Floyd
* Benjamin Franklin
* Elbridge Gerry
* Button Gwinnett
* John Hancock
* Lyman Hall
* Benjamin Harrison
* John Hart
* Joseph Hewes
* Thomas Heyward, Jr.
* William Hooper
* Stephen Hopkins
* Francis Hopkinson
* Samuel Huntington
* Thomas Jefferson
* Francis Lightfoot Lee
* Richard Henry Lee
* Francis Lewis
* Philip Livingston
* Thomas Lynch, Jr.
* Thomas McKean
* Arthur Middleton
* Lewis Morris
* Robert Morris
* John Morton
* Thomas Nelson, Jr.
* William Paca
* John Penn
* Robert Treat Paine
* George Read
* Caesar Rodney
* George Ross
* Benjamin Rush
* Edward Rutledge
* Roger Sherman
* James Smith
* Richard Stockton
* Thomas Stone
* George Taylor
* Charles Thomson (Secretary, attested to Hancock’s signature)
* Matthew Thornton
* George Walton
* William Whipple
* William Williams
* James Wilson
* John Witherspoon
* Oliver Wolcott
* George Wythe

Might have a disagreement there:) After all these are the ‘original’ terrorists of our young Country

6. The ‘Coalition of the Willing’ fell apart with only ‘minor Nation States’ still supporting it (notice the Globalist/non Sovereign language)

7. True

8. Cui Bono?

9. September 11, 2001. Need I say more?

10. True

If you need hard cold facts to support my rebuttal, I will do so. Please enquire. It might take some hours, but well worth the effort. In the meantime, remember we are all in this together!

I miss you, George, as much as I miss the last turd I flushed down the toilet.

The ignorance of people who actually say they “miss” George W. Bush is only surpassed by their impertinence. The economic crisis we’re now in, the never-ending wars, the need for Wall Street bailouts…all these were CAUSED by Bush and the policies of his short-sighted, selfish, self-important Republican cronies. Of course, the Republicans’ ridiculous borrow-and-spend policies all started with Reagan.

How quickly they forget!

Reply

39 Glenn February 9, 2010 at 6:08 pm

Republicans knew they didn’t have a chance in hell of getting another Republican elected in 08 after Bush. So they chose a hopeless Bush clone to run, meanwhile Bush screwed up the American economy so they can falsely blame Obama. That way they might get a Republican candidate elected in 2012.
Not a bad Republican political strategy. Too bad they had to devastate the American economy to get their way. SMART… Yes?

I thought it was interesting that the guys who put up the billboard wanted to remain anonymous. They had an interview on “Friends of Fox” with one of the small business owners where he expressed the intent of “having some fun” with the billboard, pointing out in the interview, (which became a little uncomfortable for the interviewer) that “both Bush and Obama had and have very difficult problems to work through”, and that “we need to lighten up, and not point fingers of blame”.

This showed, to me, the desire from the “Heartland” to get beyond some of the partisan bickering that dominates the discourse.

The billboard is, after all, Very ambiguous: Some might “Miss me yet?” as in “We want him back”, but others might “Miss me yet?” as in, “Yeah, we miss him like a Root Canal, that we’re still trying to recover from.”

So, take your choice…

Hello All,

The college tournament has arrived & the amount of upsets have been unreal. Might be the best year in a very long time for upsets in my opinion. If not for the bracket breaker unreal picks I put in to shape my brackets I would’ve just been sunk. Instead I’m owning them an looking to cash large in the tourney as well. Thanks to The Betting Professor the only upsets I’m seeing is from my two sportsbooks :)
