Beyond left or right: Last night Obama called for bipartisanship. And last night on Larry King, the pundits delivered. The bipartisan consensus is that Obama’s speech was crafted from poll-tested ideas and focus groups.
And we’ve heard all this focus group hot air before: After the 2008 election. But it was his actions after the 2008 election that proved contradictory–and are more significant.
Some comments from the video:
- Focus group tested within an inch of his life.
- Did not make the middle class a priority.
- Conveyor belt of poll-tested ideas.
- Obama simply ‘checked political boxes.’
- Obama’s sin: Hubris.
- Obama is arrogant… assuming people do not like healthcare because Obama didn’t explain it clearly.

Would you rather him keep going down the road he was on or take a step back and re-evaluate and change his game plan to appease the masses. I know bipartisan is an evil word to most but the concept is there if you open your eyes.
There is bipartisanship: It is a consensus against talking down to the American people or trying to trick Americans to to follow ideas they are not comfortable with carefully crafted speeches designed to make people feel good–while ignoring the fact his words does not commensurate with reality and lacks authenticity.
Obama needs to get a clue that bipartisianship should go in the correct direction. Yes, and the consensus is against Obama. Obama’s definition of bipartisanship is follow me and only me and if you don’t you are partisan. Sounds more like a dictator to me. No wonder he is freezing everything but military.
Obama smells like a snake oil salesman: All hype, flattery, and promise — with no authentic product to back it up.
It’s easier than ever to mount ornate hoaxes and fancy subterfuges. And you can get away with it for a while. But often, and at the worst possible moment, the people just might change their mind. They might stop enjoying the fakery and switch to scorn and anger instead.
Sarah Palin nailed it – “it sounded like a lecture and demonstrated Obama is not listening to the American people”.
