I’m shocked!

(For those of you with ADD and only focus on the bird – there is actually a very shocking and important fact stated by Sarah Palin).

The shocker: A state, Alaska, actually saved money during a surplus!

Ok, I’m officially shocked!

Other states like Illinois spent all their surplus and now asking for help. What if companies did this – saved money for a rainy day – instead of spend. We’d have a completely different financial picture.

It is really common sense, and we need that in our government.

And the reason why so many people are STILL talking about Palin is because she is a threat. You see the Obama team is so focused on presentation, even to a fault, spending great time making sure they look good.

The biggest threat to Obama’s strategy is having someone who is real and authentic, with an actual REAL record to show for it.

So what a turkey is slaughtered. I’d rather my leaders spend her time worrying about government spending, than making sure their setup is perfect and PR. While PR is important, it’s not the crucial issue in an economic crisis.

But as for Me…

I look at the record of leaders, not how they present themselves. Saving money. Now that’s smart.

I took up this argument with bloggers at HuffingtonPost, here is what was said. Again we see the liberals fall flat on their faces in the face of reason.

My state of Indiana has a surplus and we didn’t get it off of the huge profits of oil. It wasn’t through any ’smart’ planning from Palin they have a surplus, just the luck of the draw with natural resources. ANY state with those natural supplies could have a surplus.
Palin was asked by the cameraman she wanted to change background and she replied nope, it was okay with her. Interesting CHOICE of background to me…..
I did love the guy looking at the camera all the time with that huge grin on his face – kept waiting for him to wave and say ‘hi mom’….LOL
Let’s see the Palin approval drop with the low oil prices and checks to her constituents either being a LOT lower or even nonexistent next year.
She still has so much to be vetted/answered but the media deosn’t seem to be interested in going any further with those issues – maybe they realize as most of us do – she’s a flash in the pan and had her moment in the sun. Time to sit on her porch, watch Russia and overlook that bridge to nowhere site……it’s the new mantra for her – Sarah Palin, the new bridge to nowhere. :)
The very far right wing conservative evangelicals don’t have numbers to get her elected to any national office – not even a primary battle.
I would love to see her vs Hillary in 2016. She’d limp away bruised, battered and not just whimpering

My Response

The fact is Indiana did not save the surplus. Palin did save Alaska’s surplus instead of spend. Now Indiana faces a tough budget this year, at almost crisis levels. The best natural resource is the human mind, the American people.

Many states had record surpluses during the dot com bubble. They did not save.

But with the oil bubble (*for lack of a better word) we see Palin saved and they have enough money to ride out a crisis for a while because they saved. Indiana, well:http://www.examiner.com/a-1697928~Indiana_legislators_gather_amid_budget_worries.html

She is a busy woman. She probably wanted to get home or attend government business. When you are busy, you are constantly thinking of what to do next or the very important issues that need to be done. How important is a backdrop?

Again, your fixation with Sarah Palin’s approval numbers, despite not having anything really to do with you or your state suggests part of you knows she is authentic and you are looking for comfort to solidify a choice you made by being a sheep and following the crowd. It also suggests that you, like other liberals have a far greater problem: An inferiority complex of the grandest kind.

Also, Sarah Palin never said she could see Russia from her house-that was Tina Fey on SNL. So maybe you should change your source of news. Just my opinion. Happy Thanksgiving!

Gosh! You really are smart! I can tell because you want Sarah for president, right? Gosh, you’re smart.

My Response

well i did graduate from princeton with honors. I grew up in poverty and now I far from it. So if i am smart it is a gift from God. But my remarkable story had God’s hand in it so much I could never repay Him or take credit.

Reply

Ummmm..she did say that in one of her many gaffe filled interviews. Before Sarah Palin parodied her.

My Response

No she didn’t. She said you can see Russia from Alaska. Tina Fey said that you can see it from the house. But really this isn’t the important issue. And I can see how it is one-in-the-same

Princeton AND Stanford? With honors, yet! My gosh, that’s impressive. Perhaps you attended Yale, Dartmouth, Cornell, Columbia, Brown and Harvard. WIth honors, of course.

Yet with all this expensive education you fail to capitalize the names of your schools or the first word of your first sentence, while at the same time very carefully capitalizing the name and pronoun of the deity. Reverend Hagee would be proud of you.

The issue isn’t what she’s saying; it’s the horrific judgment she used in saying it where she did, and the fact that she seemed utterly unaware of the bloodletting going on just a few feet away.

And, of course, her assertion that she’ll be “in charge of the turkeys,” which I think is an excellent analogy for her obvious ambition to lead the Republican party.

Did they teach you about irony when you were busy earning honors at Stanford and Princeton?

My Response

i learned how to study and research at princeton, that’s about it. and it was well worth it. i learned how to look at the overall objective and dissect problems by focusing on the variables and parts that truly matter. basically: how to get things done in a high stress environment.

as for the irony matter: if it is so obvious, it wouldn’t be irony, now would it?

the issue remains my first point: it is shocking that a state saved money from surplus years. you can and should discredit this claim, but please keep it to this issue or other issues that are truly important.

if a good idea is blacklisted because of cApiTalizAtiOn or because someone finds comical a so-called ironic statement as the basis for throwing out a good idea – then we are back to the same old washington – ironic since our president-elect won to stop this nonsensical bickering so we can focus on issues.

Most states arent floating on an ocean of oil. Praise the laird and pass the biskits for Sayrah!

My Response

But as you recall, most states had a surplus a few years back. They didn’t save. They just didn’t. Not very smart.

Where is PETA on this!! just no class here folks.

My Response

I know! Farm animals for Obama! Yes we cow!

I have no idea what you’re talking about. How does this photo op at a turkey slaughterhouse qualify as an example of her saving the state of Alaska money? It cost the state money because she was visiting on official state business and had to cart along her staff to the place. Seems like a waste of government resources to me, but I’m not an Alaskan.

My Response

Listen to the message of what Sarah Palin was saying. My ADD Point exactly.

This is too funny. Really. I can’t make these comments up. Don’t focus on the bird. You know, they once thought a friend of mine had ADD because while he was meeting with a doctor, he kept looking at a bird in the window.

How hard is it to get these liberals to focus on change?

Does it make you wonder about this:

Okay folks, gotta go get back to work so I can pay for the tax increases coming. If any of you know of any ways or strategies to keep money from the government, please let me know. I can decide how to spend my money better and so can you. Prosperity to all!
