Nothing But Disrespect for the Founding Fathers
The oath to be taken by the President
on first entering office is specified
in Article II, Section 1, of the
Constitution:
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.
This audio tape automatically
disqualifies him from taking the
Office of the President of the
United States of America.
Listen to Obama talk about how the
constitution is not only flawed, but
“fundamentally” flawed.
Disrespect of the document responsible for the greatest nation on earth will not be tolerated.
We still produce more rags-to-riches millionaires on a daily basis than any other nation, combined. It is our nation the world comes to for health care. It is America that sends more low-income individuals to top colleges. We are still the innovators and producers of the world. We are a great nation, and we can thank God for our blessed country.
Yes times are rough. But there are more things to be thankful for. And that is an encouraging thought.

Spread the Wealth Because the Constitution is Flawed
Was the “Spread the Wealth” Comment to “Joe the Plumber” Taken Out of Context as Obama suggests? This audio suggests otherwise.

You can listen to the whole show HERE. You’ll clearly see the excerpts are not taken out of context.
..But the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society.
And to that extent, as radical as I think people try to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn’t that radical. It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution, at least as it’s been interpreted, and the Warren Court interpreted it in the same way that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. It says what the states can’t do to you, says what the federal government can’t do to you, but it doesn’t say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf. And that hasn’t shifted. And one of the, I think, tragedies of the civil rights movement was, because the civil rights movement became so court-focused, I think there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which to bring aboutredistributive change. And in some ways we still suffer from that.
…Obama: Maybe I’m showing my bias here as a legislator as well as a law professor, but I’m not optimistic about bringing about major redistributive change through the courts. Y’know, the institution just isn’t structured that way.
…The court’s just not very good at it, and politically it’s very hard to legitimize opinions from the court in that regard. So, I mean, I think that although you can craft theoretical justifications for it legally, y’know I think any three of us sitting here could come up with a rationale for bringing about economic change through the courts. …..
According to the interview:
- Obama wants to redistribute the wealth in this society.
- He wants/needs to reinterpret the constitution to do it.
- The founding fathers are in the way of this goal.
- The only concern is how to do the redistribution, not whether to do it.
Oh and…
- the Warren court, arguably the most liberal court in the last fifty years or so, wasn’t radical enough!
Wow! It turns out that Barbara West’s questions were completely appropriate.
Yeah, expect this to get some play. It supplements nicely with Joe the Plumber (as noted at the end) and is something that Americans do not want. Toss in the disrespect for the Supreme Court and the Founding Fathers and you have a very big problem for the Obama team.
